2018 Shirley Swartz Nursing Scholarship Winner || Cecilia Acri

#ShirleySwartzNursingScholarship. Our club recently awarded a two-year scholarship in the amount of $21,000 to Cecilia Acri. Cecilia attends Central Dauphin High School. She has a weighted GPA of 97.9 and ranks 25th out of 402 in her class. In her application she states, “After joining the Four Diamonds Organization, seeing young children battling cancer, and how much of a toll it took on the child’s entire family, I knew I had to do something to help. I began looking into careers related to helping kids and their families, and it hit me…Nursing.”

Cecilia is Chair of the Four Diamonds Silent Auction which raised $5,000. She is also overall chair of the Four Diamonds that raised $59,000. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She has lettered in girls’ basketball, cross country and track and field.

Her guidance counselor stated, “Cecilia has chosen to challenge herself academically, by consistently enrolling in college preparatory and honors courses; as well as, six advanced placement courses throughout high school. She has taken several science courses, as well as higher level math courses, in preparation for a major in nursing.
