Sydney Breen, who was awarded our 2018  scholarship, received a $1,000 scholarship presented through our Rotary Foundation by the Wendy Petonak Family. Sydney attends Central Dauphin High School, has a cumulative GPA of 85.9 and ranks 216 in her class of 402. Sydney states in her application, “When people hear of special needs they just automatically think they are not smart or able to do much and that is not even close to being true. I have met kids that are smarter than me at math, better spellers than me, and kids that are stronger and faster than me. The biggest difference I see is that they are kinder than the average high school student which is a quality that can be hard to find in some people of my generation.”  #recognizingexcellence #scholarshipwinner
